Termite and Mite Session
4:15-5:15 pm, Wednesdays, September 14 – October 26, 2022 (7 weeks)
Players ages 4-8 (birth years 2017-2014)
Players participate in various fun drills and games aimed at improving forward and backward skating, stick handling, passing, and shooting. The program is based on USA Hockey’s American Development Model. Coach John O’Bannon will lead the sessions.
It is recommended that players who are new to hockey complete at least one Learn to Play session before entering the house league. New house players are expected to be able to perform most of Hockey 1 and 2 skills. If you have questions about which program your player should register for, please reach out to Grace.

Squirt and Peewee House League
4:30-5:30 pm, Mondays, October 3-24, 2022 (4 weeks)
House league players will get ready for the winter season during this ice session. Squirt and Peewee house league players will share the ice for a combined American Development Model practice. Practices will include station drills and small area games.
It is recommended that players who are new to hockey complete at least one Learn to Play session before entering the house league. New house players are expected to be able to perform most of Hockey 1 and 2 skills. If you have questions about which program your player should register for, please reach out to Grace.
Cost: $100
Squirt 4v4 and Peewee 3v3
Wednesdays, September 14-28, 2022 (3 weeks)
Squirt (birth years 2012 and 2013): 5:30-6:30 pm
Peewee (birth years 2010 and 2011): 6:45-7:45 pm
This program is for players of all abilities. Teams will be created by staff and all attempts will be made to create parity among the teams. Players will play weekly half-ice games.
It is recommended that players who are new to hockey complete at least one Learn to Play session before entering the house league. New house players are expected to be able to perform most of Hockey 1 and 2 skills. If you have questions about which program your player should register for, please reach out to Grace.

Pre-Tryout Conditioning Clinic
Mondays, September 12-26, 2022 (3 weeks)
Squirt (birth years 2012 and 2013): 4:30-5:30 pm.
Peewee (birth years 2010 and 2011): 5:45-6:45 pm.
Bantam/High School (birth years 2009-2004): 7-8 pm.
This program is geared toward travel hockey players looking to get ready for tryouts. Practices will feature fast skating drills, competitive battle drills, and small area games.
Cost: $75 – Skater, $37.50 – Goalie
Bantam and High School Fall Hockey
Sundays, September 11-October 30, 2022 (8 weeks)
Players ages 13-18 (birth years 2009-2004)
4:45, 6:00, and 7:15 pm start times
Bantam and high school players can prepare for the winter season with weekly games every Sunday evening. Checking is not allowed in the fall program, which allows younger players to improve their skills against more experienced players. Bench coaches are volunteers who will keep the focus on fun.
Cost: $200 – Skater, $100 – Goalie
Registration
Players will need a 2022-2023 USA Hockey number to register for fall programs. This is done at an additional cost directly through USA Hockey
Register online through our DaySmart Recreation System. Use the links above to register directly for each program. When registering, make sure to have your player’s name selected from the dropdown menu. Daysmart will only show programs your player is age-eligible for.
A $5 capital improvement fund fee will be added to every fall registration. This fee goes towards future rink capital projects.

Policies
Please see the MAYHA Guidebook 2022 for complete information on our program’s policies and procedures. All participants must sign a virtual waiver when registering for the programs. Please review our Codes of Conducts and Concussion Policy and Form.
Equipment Rental
Rental equipment is available for the season at a cost of $75 per player. All equipment rental is by appointment only through our scheduling software. Please use this link: Online Equipment Rental Scheduling. If you have multiple children in the program, please make at least TWO appointments to allow adequate time for the gear fittings. FAMILIES THAT HAVE MULTIPLE PLAYERS IN THE PROGRAM SHOULD MAKE ONE APPOINTMENT PER PLAYER. Athletic Training
The University of Montana provides athletic training services to teams at the Glacier Ice Rink, such as the University of Montana club hockey team, the Treasure State Royals, and participants in MAYHA programs. These services encompass the prevention, examination, diagnosis, and treatment of emergent, acute, or chronic injuries and medical conditions. They work with the athlete, coaches, and parents to ensure the health and safety of an athlete following an injury. Concussion baseline and follow-up testing is also offered for each athlete participating in any league. All services are provided at the rink at no charge to our users, and are available by call and arrangement.
