2026-2027 Adult Tournaments
Glacier Ice Rink and the Glacier Hockey League host four USA Hockey-sanctioned adult tournaments each season, welcoming teams from throughout the region for competitive hockey, great camaraderie, and a fun weekend in Missoula.
Every tournament includes a four-game guarantee and runs from Friday evening through Sunday afternoon.
Secure Your Spot: Register with a $300 team deposit to reserve your place (plus a $40 payment plan fee). The remaining balance will be automatically processed 7 days before the tournament begins.
Halloween Challenge
October 23-25, 2026
The Halloween Challenge kicks off the hockey season with three divisions: REC (higher level), Intermediate CO-REC (lower level), and OPEN WOMEN’s (higher level).
Team costumes are encouraged!
August 17: Priority registration opens for 2025 Captains. Invites to be sent to returning captains via FinnlySport.
August 24: Registration opens for all.
Cost: $850 per team.
Flying Mules Hockey Festival
January 15-17, 2027
The Flying Mules Hockey Festival is held over Martin Luther King weekend and is Montana’s longest-running adult hockey tournament. Tournament includes Open, Rec, 35+ and Women’s divisions.
November 10: Priority registration opens for 2026 Captains. Invites to be sent to returning captains via FinnlySport.
November 17: Registration opens for all.
Cost: $1,000 per team.
Missoula Spring Thaw
April 23-25, 2027
The Missoula Spring Thaw is CO-REC tournament geared toward novice and intermediate players, with lawn games and barbecues on Saturday.
February 1: Priority registration opens for 2026 Captains. Invites to be sent to returning captains via FinnlySport.
February 16: Registration opens for all.
Cost: $850 per team.
