Outdoor Rink Temporary Closure – updated 10/30
We are currently dealing with a mechanical issue with the outdoor rink’s brine pump, which has left us unable to refrigerate and maintain the outdoor ice sheet.
Because of the age and specifications of the existing pump, a direct replacement is no longer available. We have located a comparable replacement and are working to get it here and installed as quickly as possible.
In the meantime, we are removing what remains of the outdoor ice and preparing the rink so we can begin rebuilding the ice once the new pump is installed and operational.
What this means for programs
With only the indoor rink available, we do not have enough ice time to accommodate everything normally scheduled on both sheets. We are adjusting schedules, moving programs where possible, and postponing or cancelling some activities.
We know these changes are disruptive, and we appreciate everyone’s patience as we work through a situation that affects nearly every rink program.
Please check this page regularly for the latest information. We will update it as we know more about the outdoor rink and as revised schedules are finalized.

User Groups (WHAM, Missoula Curling, Missoula Figure Skating Club)
We are working directly with each organization to adjust schedules as needed.

Estimated reopening: To be determined. We will provide an estimated reopening date once the replacement pump is installed and we have a better sense of the ice-making timeline.
