2023 Glacier Hockey League Spring Season

The Glacier Hockey League (GHL) spring season has four divisions to accommodate players of varying skill levels.  Individual players should register as FREE AGENTS.  Groups or “pods” of players wishing to play together can register for a specific team listed in the registration portal. Teams are capped at 15 skaters with one goaltender.

CAPTAINS:  If you would like to build a team and become a captain/manager contact Ryan@glaciericerink.com ASAP.  Once designated as a captain you will be able to send “invite to join” messages to your players and entertain “request to join” inquiries from potential players from your DaySmart homepage.  All potential captains will need to provide their name, desired division, and team name.

Goaltenders should register EARLY!  Spring goaltender registration works on a “first come, first serve” basis and these spots go quickly!  Goalies must also register as SPRING GOALTENDER in the registration portal to get the goaltender price point. Goalies may also request a specific team in the comment section.

All GHL Leagues are USA Hockey sanctioned and ALL players must have a current 2022-23 USAH confirmation number to complete the registration process.

Players must provide their own jerseys for the spring season. Please bring a light and dark jersey to each game.

Divisions and Nights

  • NEW Spring “45+ Silver Draft” Division – SOLD OUT! You may register for the wait list | This is an 8 week “age specific division” open to all players and skill levels over the age of 45 and is destined to take the place of Winter Hang Loose “C” in the upcoming Winter season.  While still a work in progress, players in the “Silver Division” will be given a rating (dependent on age and skill set) and divided equally amongst 4 teams this Spring.  So FREE AGENT registration only.  Goaltenders will be randomized and have their own schedules, playing with different teams each week.  No captains needed at this point, but if you’re 45 or over come join the evolution of GHL Old-timer Hockey! Game times will be 6:45 and 8:00 pm each week.
  • B Division | Competitive/Upper-Level Intermediate players | Tuesdays | Game times are between 9:15–10:30pm.
  • C Division | Intermediate/Upper-Level Novice/Hang Loose B players | Thursdays | Game start times are between 6:45–10:30 pm.
  • Novice | Players with Minimal Hockey Experience | Wednesdays | Game times are between 8:00–10:30 pm.

See the Winter Season page for descriptions of the above levels.
