Winter Games Day – Feb. 21, 2026
Feeling inspired by the Winter Olympics? You don’t have to travel to Italy — you can try the sports right here in Missoula!
Our festive Winter Games Day is a hands-on introduction to multiple ice sports. Spend the afternoon participating or simply come watch and cheer.
Who should participate?
Kids, adults, beginners, families, hockey players, and anyone who has ever wanted to step onto the ice but didn’t know where to start. No experience required.
Register for each session through our DASH system, using this LINK
Sessions are $7 per person (Sled Hockey is free).
Participants must register in advance — walk-ups cannot be accommodated.
Spectators may attend any event at no charge.
Try Sessions
Try Skating – Session 1
12:30–1:30 PM
Learn the basics of skating with on-ice coaches, plus performance demos from the Missoula Figure Skating Club.
Try Skating – Session 2
2:00–3:00 PM
Learn the basics of skating with on-ice coaches, plus performance demos from the Missoula Figure Skating Club.
Try Women’s Hockey
2:15–3:15 PM
A beginner-friendly stick-and-puck session with volunteers from the Women’s Hockey Association of Missoula. Women only, helmets and sticks provided.
Try Sled Hockey (Free)
3:00–4:15 PM
Experience adaptive hockey played on sleds. Volunteers from Missoula Adaptive Recreation and Sports will help fit participants to equipment. No skating ability needed.
Try Curling
5:00–8:00 PM
Learn the basics and throw stones during a 45-minute session with the Missoula Curling Club.

4:30–5:45 PM
Watch local adult players face off in a friendly international matchup. Free to attend!
