Spring Break 4v4/3v3 Jamborees – Mite 8U and Squirt 10U

Is your family staying in town over MCPS spring break? Sign up for this one-day jamboree where players will be placed on a team and will play three games. Games will use pond hockey nets, no goalies.
Mite: 2014 and 2015
Squirt: 2012 and 2013
Please have a light and dark jersey available for use.

Spring 3v3 – Squirt 10U
Wednesdays, April 12th-May 17th – 5:15-6:15 pm (six weeks)
Squirt-aged players play weekly 3v3 games on a half sheet of ice. Players develop hockey sense and maximize puck touches in the 3v3 format.
Open to birth years 2014*, 2013 and 2012
*Second-year mites (2014) may register for this program to gain experience as they age out of the mite age classification.
Please have a white and black jersey available for use.

Spring 3v3 – Peewee 13U
Wednesdays, April 12th-May 17th – 6:30-7:30 pm (six weeks)
Peewee-aged players play weekly 3v3 games on a half sheet of ice. Players develop hockey sense and maximize puck touches in the 3v3 format.
Open to birth years 2011, 2010 and 2009
Please have a white and black jersey available for use.

Termite and Mite Spring Session
Wednesdays, April 12th-May 17th – 4-5 pm (six weeks)
Open to 2018-2014 birth years who have winter termite/mite house hockey experience, or Learn to Play participants who have a recommendation from the hockey director or Learn to Play coaches.
Players take part in a variety of drills and games aimed at improving forward and backward skating, stick handling, passing, and shooting. Players will build on the skills they learned during the winter season.
Cost: $110
Spring Skills and Drills
This program is for players who have at least one season of experience in our winter house or travel hockey programs. Learn to Play participants interested in this program should consult the hockey director prior to registration.
Lead Coach Mike Anderson will design station-based practices focused on skill development. Each hour-long ice time will consist of fun and high-paced drills and small area games.
Session 1 (April): Mondays, April 10th-24th (three weeks)
Session 2 (May): Mondays, May 1st-May 15th (three weeks)
Squirt/Peewee (2013, 2012, 2011, 2010 birth years) – 5:45-6:45 pm
Bantam/High School (2009, 2008, 2007, 2006, and 2005 birth years) – 7-8 pm

Bantam and High School Spring Hockey
Sundays, April 2nd – May 21st; 4:45, 6, and 7:15 pm start times
Open to 2009-2004 birth years.
Bantam and high school players can wind down from the winter season with weekly games every Sunday evening. There is no checking allowed in the spring program, which allows younger players to improve their skills against more experienced players. Bench coaches are volunteers who will keep the focus on fun.
The first night of the program will be scrimmages. Players will receive an email letting them know which ice time to show up to within one week of the program start date. Teams will be finalized and the league will begin on the second week of the program. Please look for emails from the hockey director, or check DaySmart to see your team assignment and schedule.

Players must register for programs based on their birth year. Please read the description for the program to determine which program they may register for. Some exceptions will be made but must be approved by the Youth Hockey Director.
Players will need a 2022-2023 or 2023-2024 USA Hockey number to register for spring programs.
