Division Descriptions

Novice Division: This division is for the entry-level player that would like to have fun and learn the game of hockey.  Basic skills like edgework and stopping can be learned at this level.

Intermediate Division: This division is for the player that would like to advance their novice skills and have fun at the next competitive level. Intermediate is a great place to enhance skills.

Competitive Division: This division is for the player that has developed skills. Competitive is for the player that is comfortable stopping and confident in their edgework.

Advanced Division: This division is for the player that has skill and speed that plays for fun and is still very competitive.

Cup Division: This division is for the player that has very competitive skills that would enjoy playing the game for fun with the intensity they have always enjoyed.

Hang Loose Division: This division was created for those people that would like to play in a more relaxed environment for fun. The league consists of players 35 and older and is very fun and competitive.

Advance Womens Division: This division is an all womens league that is for the most skilled women in Missoula playing the game.

Intermediate Womens Division: The IWL will be a division for women that are looking to play an extra night of hockey as they develope their hockey skills.  This division will be for the beginner to Intermediate level of play and will be a relaxed womens league.  Stats and 2 refs are going to be included as in all the GHL leagues. 

REMINDER: All of the leagues are no check and this is a fun and enjoyable environment.? Everyone has something to do the next day so we always caution safety.
