Missoula Bruin taken in WHL draft
Paige Maul, a member of the Missoula Bruins state champion high school varsity hockey team, has been drafted by the Medicine Hat Tigers of the Western Hockey League. Paige, a 15-year-old Sentinel High School freshman, was taken in the ninth round of the WHL bantam draft. Paige has played his entire youth hockey career in Missoula with the Bruins.
The WHL is one of the top three major junior leagues in North America. It is a major feeder league to the National Hockey League. The Tigers are located in southern Alberta. They play against teams such as the Spokane Chiefs, Calgary Hitmen, Tri Cities Americans, Seattle Thunderbirds, Portland Winterhawks, Vancouver Giants, Lethbridge Hurricanes, Edmonton Oil Kings and Kootenay (Cranbrook) Ice. |
