The Glacier Ice Rink is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization located within the Western Montana Fairgrounds in Missoula, Montana. The rink is home to many user groups including the Missoula Maulers Jr A hockey team which hosts 24+ home games and has an average attendance of 1200 for each game. G.I.R. is also is the only facility in Montana that has two rinks. The rink's adult recreational leagues contain over 700 registered players along with over 450 youth hockey players enrolled in our youth programs. The G.I.R. also hosts over a dozen hockey tournaments as well as hockey camps and figure skating each year with local teams and teams as far away as Alaska. In the 2008-2009 season nearly 100,000 visited the G.I.R. for various programs and events. G.I.R. also rents the facility for non-ice events each year from May to August including the Western Montana Fair. Currently over 100 businesses have taken advantage of our advertising options. We offer various opportunitities to advertise including..in ice, dasher board, wall signs, website and Zamboni ads. For more information please call Bill Mathews at 531-8281.
