Glacier Hockey League
2017-2018 Winter Season
The Glacier Hockey League (GHL) winter season has ten divisions to accommodate players of varying skill levels. Players will be placed on a team through a pre-season captains' draft or can request to play with a specific team and/or players. Players registering after the draft will be placed where there is room and are not guaranteed to be placed on their requested team. Team jerseys are provided for the season.
Divisions and Nights
Cup (highly-advanced players with pro, college or junior hockey experience) - Wednesday
Advanced (advanced-level players with junior or high school experience) - Monday
Competitive (upper intermediate-level players with limited youth hockey experience) - Sunday
Intermediate (intermediate-level players with limited adult hockey experience) - Tuesday
Novice (lower-intermediate players with minimal adult hockey experience) - Sunday
Novice Green Horn *new! - (players with less than two years' experience. No slapshots) - Sunday
Hang Loose A (players 35 and older of Cup/Advanced/Competitve level) - Thursday
Hang Loose B (players 35 and older of Intermediate level) - Thursday
Hang Loose C *new! (players 35 and older of Novice and Intermediate level, or those looking for a more laid-back division. No slap shots) - Monday
Women's Intermediate (women's-only division of Intermediate level) - Wednesday
Note: nights and divisions are subject to change based on registration numbers

Winter league begins November 5 and runs 14 weeks through February, with single-elimination playoffs beginning in March. Finals in each division will be a best of three series. There is a one-week break over the holidays (December 25-January 1).
Players: $230 until October 16 $270 after October 16 Goalies: $80
Registration for the winter season will open on September 6.
