2017 Fall Youth Hockey Programs

Fall youth hockey programs are designed for kids of all ages and abilities. They're also a great way to transition into the winter hockey season. See below for descriptions of each program and contact us with any questions.

Small Area Games

Ages 4-8; Cost: $145
Wednesdays, September 6 – October 25, 4 to 5 pm (eight weeks)

Players take part in a variety of fun drills and games aimed at improving forward and backward skating, stick handling, passing and shooting. The program is based on USA Hockey’s American Development Model.

Power Skating

Ages 9-16; Cost: $110
Wednesdays, September 6 – October 4, 5:15 to 6:15 pm (five weeks)

Players can get an edge on the upcoming season by improving their skating stride under the guidance of Missoula power skating professional Ryan Yearous.

Skills and Scrimmage

Ages 9-12; Cost: $100
Wednesdays, September 6 – October 4, 6:30 to 7:30 pm (five weeks)

The first half of each ice session is devoted to drills that emphasize forward and backward skating, stick handling, passing, shooting and small-area games. The second half of each session consists of a full-ice scrimmage, coordinated by on- and off-ice coaches, in which players learn positioning, teamwork and offensive and defensive concepts.

Bantam and High School Fall Hockey

Ages 13 and up; Cost: $160
Sundays, September 10 – October 29, 5:15 and 6:30 pm start times (eight weeks)

Bantam and high school players can prepare for the winter season with weekly games every Sunday evening. There is no checking allowed in the fall program, which allows younger players to improve their skills against more experienced players. Bench coaches are volunteers who will keep the focus on fun.
